M.A.C. Haul Part 2 with Swatches - Face

As I mentioned in my previous post, M.A.C. Haul Part 1 - Eyes, I went on a little MAC shopping spree with the gift cards I received last Christmas.  I mostly purchased eye shadows and lip glosses but I did get a couple of other items.

Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50 - A skin-protecting cream with SPF 50. Applies under makeup to prime the skin for the sun. Featherweight, fast-absorbing, oil-free, invisible. Will not affect the look, texture or long-wear integrity of your makeup. Specially formulated with oil-absorbing powder, helps prevent oil breakthrough. Provides high-level broad spectrum sun protection. Worn daily helps guard the skin against discolouration, premature aging, dryness and other effects of sun exposure. Suitable for all skins. Reg. - $30.00
Every morning I use moisturizer with SPF 15 before applying makeup but I never really used a primer so I decided to try Prep + Prime Face Protect.  So far this has done a great job keeping my makeup looking fresh and matte.
Powder Blush - Colour for the cheeks and face. Various formulas. Different looks. Reg. - $19.50
Springsheen - Peach with pearl (Sheertone Shimmer)
Peachykeen - Very baby peach (Sheertone Shimmer)
Dollymix - Pure candy pink (Sheertone Shimmer)
Blushbaby - Beige-pink (Sheertone)
Breath of Plum - Light plum (Sheertone)
Well Dressed - Immaculate pink (Satin)

I haven't really used Dollymix or Well Dressed but I absolutely love the other four.  Springsheen and Breath of Plum have been my go-to blushes these past couple of months.

Fix+ Lavender - The soothing, calming, chill-me-out scent of lavender is at the heart of this limited-edition Fix+. Like the original, it wakes up, refreshes and conditions the skin while providing tired, thirsty skin with a quick hydrating boost. Use as an on-the-go pick-me-up or a setting finish after makeup. Limited Edition (Champale Collection) - $18.00

I adore the original Fix+ and use it any time I apply powder foundation to give my face an even liquid foundation look. I had heard people say that the sweet vanilla and lavender scent of this product was too strong but since I love the smell of lavender, I decided to give it a try.  You do smell the lavender when spraying it directly on your face so it may not be the best product for those sensitive to fragrances, however, I don't find the smell to be strong at all, in fact, the vanilla and lavender scent fades away seconds after applying the product. This product works just as well as the original and I would gladly repurchase it if it were to be re-released.

Don't forget to check back later this week for the final post of my January MAC haul!
